CYCLADES, Andros. Andros. Marcus Aurelius, with Lucius Verus, 161-180 and 161-169, respectively. (Bronze, 19 mm, 4.43 g, 2 h). ΑΥΤ ΑΝΤ ΚΑΙO[..] Laureate heads of Marcus Aurelius on right facing left, and Lucius Verus on left facing right; countermark: head to right within circular incuse. Rev. [Α]Ν[ΔΡΙΩΝ] Dionysos standing facing, head left, holding kantharos in right hand, thyrsos in left. GIC 164. Paschale 64. RPC online 3471.4 (this coin). Very rare. Only four examples (including the present piece) are recoded in RPC online. Earthen green patina. Very fine.
